PhysiotherapyÂ
Let’s face it, above all, this is the most key aspect which orchestrates the team’s fortunes throughout the course of a season. Everyone associated with the club are well aware of the high number of injuries we endure every season, which hinders key areas of the field.
If Arsenal kept their injury lists to a minimum for prolonged periods of a campaign, they wouldn’t miss the presence of star players such as Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey.
The Welshman was such an integral part of the squad last term as the team’s best goalscoring midfielder, but an untimely mid-season injury left him sidelined for a great chunk of the remaining campaign months. Had he been fit, who knows whether the Gunners could’ve finished above 4th in the end.
This has happened with too many of Arsenal’s key players and it needs to stop. There’s obviously something the club isn’t doing right on the training ground when looking over to team’s such as Chelsea, whose squad depth isn’t that impressive, if they were to be hit with the amount of injuries we sustain every year.
The solution isn’t always to delve into the transfer market for answers, sometimes it’s best to solve the underlying problem within the club. Arsenal may need to change how they run things within the medical staff, if they are to keep injuries to a minimum.
