3. Neven Subotić
Arsenal currently only have 3 first team and experienced defenders in their squad and with a possibility of Thomas Vermaelen leaving, that could leave the gunners with just 2 central defenders for a whole season if they don’t manage to sign one in this summer’s transfer window.
Dortmund possess two fantastic centre backs in Subotić and Hummels, but it always seems like Hummels takes the limelight away from Subotić sometimes and people don’t realise how much of a solid defender he really is.
Subotić has played for Borussia Dortmund over 150 times and has played for his country Serbia 35 times. He is a very experience centre back and would add a lot to our team and especially our defensive frailties in the big games.
The Serbian would cost around £20-£25 million and there has been no suggestion that he is ready to leave the German club. However Wenger is renowned for pulling of transfers out of the blue and is apparently a very persuasive person and if his defensive partner moves away from the club as well he may have something to think about.
