1. Marco Reus
After the signing of Alexis Sanchez, many Arsenal fans were saying it’s now time to buy a world class and proven striker at the top level. However, many fans have forgotten or just don’t know that for periods of Alexis Sanchez’s career he played up front by himself in La liga and in the Champions league for Barcelona.
Marco Rues has been linked with a move away from Borussia Dortmund, as he is expected to follow the two other former team mates of his, Gotze and Lewandowski out of the club. The German international has an apparent £28 million buyout clause, which seems very reasonable considering Real Madrid have just spent £63 million on James Rodriquez, a player who is very similar to Marco Rues.
Rues has scored 30 goals in just 60 appearances for Dortmund, and has played for his country 21 times. The attacking midfielder has everything an Arsenal forward should have with fantastic turn of pace and great technique, he would fit in very nicely with the other Germans at the club.
Signing Rues would mean that he could play on the left wing (his natural position) and allow Alexis or even Walcott to play up top by themselves or together. Earlier in the week Rues refused to answer any questions on his future but has said that he hasn’t been offered a new contract yet, leaving the door open for a transfer bidding war for Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United.
