3. Scott Dann
A surprise contender for being a ‘dangerous’ player, but it’s the reliability of Dann that Palace will look for on Sunday afternoon.
With the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott back in contention for a starting place, the 28-year-old will have more than enough to deal with.
But with his physical presence and towering height, Dann could make a massive impact in stopping the Gunners from scoring their first competitive goal of the season.
The centre back played the full 90 minutes of last weeks game at Carrow Road, and after conceding just one goal, he will be determined to pick up a first clean sheet for 2015/16.
As well as his defensive capabilities, Dann has an impressive record when going up for set pieces, scoring two goals from corner kicks last year.
Per Mertesacker will have his work cut out when marking Dann, and likewise will be frustrated when heading up the other end of the pitch.
Whether Wenger chooses Giroud or Walcott to run riot up top, Dann will have a tougher challenge than last Saturday, but his experience will come into play alongside new boy, Papa Souare.
