1. Mathieu Debuchy – £5.5m
Debuchy joined Arsenal for £10million last month and has impressed in pre-season. Debuchy also looked solid against Manchester City in the 3-0 Community Shield victory. This could help Arsenal to a clean sheet and his attacking influence could see him notch up an assist or two for Olivier Giroud who looks likely to start upfront.
The French full back looks fit and fresh considering his involvement in the World Cup and looks ready to impress the Gunners fans and reward Arsene Wenger for giving him the chance to play for such a big club.
Will he definitely play? Yes. Deputy right back Calum Chambers will be needed at centre-back, therefore Debuchy, unless he suffers a late injury, will definitely play on Saturday night. Palace aren’t known for scoring too many goals, so despite a weakened defence, a clean sheet for the Gunners is a high possibility. Hector Bellerin has looked good in pre-season, but he’s unlikely to be used unless injuries get worse. See the other two players by clicking the page numbers below.
