3 – Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Borussia Dortmund)
If you ask any Arsenal fan who they’d want to see wearing the number nine shirt next season, then nine out of ten of the responses would be this man.
What can we say that you don’t already know? The fact is Aubameyang currently stands as the best striker that could realistically leave his club this season.
But with that fact comes the reality that every other top European club knows that, and now it looks as if Manchester City could have the upper hand on a move for the striker.
He’s 26 years of age, entering his peak and is bang in form when it comes to finding the net, which therefore increases his price tag drastically.
The figure for the Gabon interntaional currently circling is £56million, over double the price that has been bid for 29-year-old Jamie Vardy.
His contract currently runs until 2020 which is valid reason for what Dortmund have valued him at, but they of course will not let their fan favourite go on the cheap.
He’s worked his way through the ranks at AC Milan before proving his quality in the Bundesliga, but regardless of all of the interest there could be one thing standing in the way of a move to the Premier League.
Aubameyang has previously stated he would love the move to Real Madrid should they come looking, and you’d be right to place your money on him moving to La Liga at some stage.
It’s a difficult one because money changes a lot of people’s minds these days, and we all know what Arsene Wenger can do on those illusive phone calls.
