Arsenal have already been linked with hundreds of different players this transfer window, but which ones have real substance? Here’s three players that Arsenal are definitely interested in.Â
1. Karim Benzema
Arsene Wenger is a long term admirer of Benzema, as he was interested in signing him when at Lyon and tried to sign him again in 2013. Whilst a deal seems extremely unlikely at the moment, Wenger is monitoring the situation at Madrid as he hopes that Benzema will become available.
Rafael Benitez is reportedly keen to add Sergio Aguero to his squad of galacticos and if he does, Benzema is more than likely to be the one who misses out. Whilst I still think a deal for Benzema is extremely unlikely – it is possible and there is a genuine interest from Arsenal’s end.
The Gunners believe Benzema could be available this summer and it might explain why Arsenal were reluctant to make an official bid for Jackson Martinez, who looks set to join Milan soon. Likelihood rating: 5/10
