Arsenal are reportedly ‘extremely confident’ of signing Karim Benzema this summer according to a few so called ‘reliable’ sources.
For those of you who don’t know about Twitter, there are a few accounts on there that are considered ‘reliable’ due to previous tweets that did actually happen. Amongst those are @DeanLDN22 and @northbanklower. Here’s a couple of tweets tonight from the duo:

Of course another reliable outlet of the Benzema talk is El Confidencial’s Kike Marin – we’ve regularly brought you his updates on the situation.
Benzema’s agent and Rafael Benitez seemed to deny completely that he was leaving earlier today, but that could be a tactic to keep his price high. It is thought Arsenal will have to break their £42million transfer record to bring Benzema to The Emirates, as Madrid are not desperate to sell – or so they’d have you believe perhaps?
His agent recently told SkySports News: “Karim is very happy at Real Madrid and he will be a Real Madrid player by the end of this transfer window, 1,000%, Karim is not looking to move anywhere this summer.”

Benzema scored and completed 45 minutes for Real Madrid against Manchester City in a friendly on Friday.
There is yet to be any official movement in a deal, but if you like to listen to the whispers, they are all suggesting Benzema to Arsenal is possible. Let’s cross everything we’ve got and hope for the best.
Arsenal also have a back up option in Robert Lewandowski according to Kike Marin, though the Polish striker is likely to be equally as difficult to acquire.
Wenger has signed Olivier Giroud to a new three year deal, but still wants to sign another striker this summer.
