Report: Arsenal To Bid AGAIN For PSG Outcast In The Summer

Arsenal are ready to make a transfer bid for Paris Saint-Germain’s Yohan Cabaye in the summer, according to The Mirror.

Arsene Wenger could be set to try his luck with another £10million bid for the player. The Gunners failed with a bid of the same amount when Cabaye was at Newcastle. The midfielder later joined Paris Saint Germain for around £16million.

Since then Cabaye has failed to become a regular at the club, and now Arsenal may swoop in to offer him more regular game time. With the futures of Abou Diaby, Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Flamini uncertain, the Gunners could well be in the market for a deep lying midfielder this summer.

Cabaye is 29 though, and not the natural defensive midfielder that most Arsenal fans are currently craving. Coquelin’s brilliant midfield performances have shown how effective playing with a natural holding midfielder can be.

Cabaye might be capable of adjusting to that role in a similar way that Mikel Arteta has. With the Spaniard’s contract extension yet to be officially confirmed by the club, Arteta could in fact leave on a free transfer at the end of the season.

I think we’d be better off spending a bit more and going for Morgan Schneiderlin. He’s exactly the type of player we need and I think he really wants to play in the Champions League next season. What do you think? Would Cabaye be a good signing? Let me know by commenting below.
