Arsenal somehow managed to revive their Champions League campaign and qualify for the knockout stages of the competition – after Olivier Giroud’s hat-trick gave the Gunners a 3-0 win in Athens.
Arsenal were all over Olympiacos after weathering a storm in the first 20 minutes. Giroud completed his first ever hat trick for Arsenal on a night where it was really needed. He well and truly delivered and left many people admiring his qualities, even Mesut Ozil was outspoken with his thoughts on the Frenchman.

Arsenal are now through to the last 16, but have exited the competition at this stage for the last five years – hopefully they can buck that trend but with the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid waiting in the next round – it won’t be an easy task.
