A report in today’s AS newspaper has stated that the Ligue 1 club are already searching for a man to fill the boots of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who is in search of Premier League football.

And despite him having a topsy turvy season, PSG are reportedly putting Alexis at the top of their shopping list, whilst taking advantage of the Chile international’s situation.

Rumours have surfaced in the past two weeks suggesting that the winger is unhappy with his situation after the Gunners look set to fail in securing any silverware.

The Arsenal talisman is seen as the left-wing option to come straight into the starting XI whilst Edinson Cavani becomes the new first-choice striker at the club.

That would be the perfect deal for PSG and a big signing like Alexis would complete a side capable of retaining the French title without their star man, Ibrahimovic.

The Swede international is a very likeable player and his 39 goals in all competitions could be something offered by PSG to sweeten any sort of deal for Alexis.

Ibrahimovic has already stated that playing in England’s top division is on his wish list, and it looks as if he still has two seasons at the top level.

We already know that Arsene Wenger is a fan of the towering striker having brought him in for a trial period during his early years of management, but is he capable of letting go of his prized asset in Alexis Sanchez?

The Chilean is expected to demand a significantly higher weekly wage this summer whilst also demanding that a buy-out clause is added into any sort of contract extension he signs.

Similar reports were recently released on the future of Mesut Ozil, but the World Cup winner opened up in an interview to rubbish any gossip that he’s set for an exit.

Arsenal fans will read what they want into Alexis’ silence, but it is hard to imagine the winger wanting out during a summer where Arsene Wenger is looking to spend big.

In what is likely to be the managers last year with the club, it is also a massive suggestion that Alexis will stick around, unless a seriously attractive package can be offered by potential suitors.
