Made some good interceptions. Not very dominant in the box.

Done well at the back. Used his pace to kill at lot of City’s attacks.
Nacho Monreal – 5
A poor game for the Spaniard. His lack of pace allowed Navas to dominate on City’s right flank.
Mathieu Flamini – 3
Unable to make any impact on the midfield. Far below Arsenal standards.
Jack Wilshere – 8
An excellent performance. His passing was consistent and he scored our first goal with a lovely chip.
Aaron Ramsey – 4
His ball control was decent, but his passing and finishing were way below his usual standard.
Mesut Özil – 6
Made some neat passes and created a few chances, but struggled to make an impact at times.
Alexis Sanchez – 10 – Man of the Match
One of the best performances I’ve seen from an Arsenal player in years. Worked very hard, and his passing and dribbling were world-class. Scored our second goal with an outstanding volley.
Danny Welbeck – 6
Nearly scored early on from a delightful chip, which hit the post instead of the back of the net. A decent start from the Englishman, but nothing special.
