Our partners scores.co.uk have made their team of the month for October. It includes Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey, but no other Gunners. Is this fair enough or a bit harsh on the table toppers? Perhaps Mesut Ozil, Olivier Giroud or part of the Arsenal defence should have been included?
Luis Suarez returned from suspension to once again blow the league away with some excellent goals. His partner, Sergio Aguero, won a place in the side after winning the Official Barclay’s Player of the Month award. The Manchester City forward has burst into memorable form lately. Aaron Ramsey won this award in September and had another month to remember for Arsenal.
The Welshman’s hard work has started to be rewarded on the pitch. He’s impressed in terms of tackling, passing and now scoring. Ramsey is quickly being considered one of the best all-round midfielders in the Premier League. Alongside him in midfield are Yaya Toure and Oscar who have helped win vital points for their title-contending sides. Adam Lallana has made the team after his excellent form for the highflying Southampton. Not only has he been rewarded with a place in Live Scores team of the month, he’s been called up to the England squad.
Jan Vertonghen, Dejan Lovren, Jose Fonte and Winston Reid make up the back four. All have been on excellent form and few can argue with that selection. Despite being lobbed early in November, Boruc’s shot-stopping form in October helped his side to one of the best defensive records in the whole of Europe.
