Madrid Trio? Five La Liga Players Arsenal Could Sign This Month

The Spanish first division is the breeding ground of skill and talent in Europe. Barcelona and Real Madrid, as well as other La Liga sides invest heavily in scouts every year and bring in talent to become World Beaters. One recent example is Neymar of Santos and Brazil, who joined Barcelona last year and has shown to be Messi’s Apprentice in recent months. We all know Arsenal need to sign a few players, but does the La Liga hold the talent we need? Here are 5 players that fit the bill.

Otamendi is an Argentinian central defender who moved to Valencia on 5th February 2014 for 12million Euros (Roughly £9.2million) from F.C. Porto . He was sent on loan to Atletico Mineiro for the rest of the season, and returned to make his Spanish league debut on the 23rd August. Since then, he has played a total of 17 times, scoring twice against Atletico Madrid and scoring the winner that ended Real Madrid’s 22 game unbeaten run of results. He is the type of defender that Arsenal need to seriously buy now, because although he does not play every game, he is a great player once he is given the chance. He has won 8 major titles in his career, including the 2011 Europa League and 3 National Championships (Portugal). He would be perfect for us, because we still need another defender to cover once Mertesacker needs to be rested or becomes injured (Fingers crossed not), and Otamendi can go above and beyond his Call of Duty.
