Since his introduction to the Sky Sports team, The Arsenal legend has just left Arsenal fans in complete admiration, as his character and mental experience puts him as one of the best critics in England to date. However, his recent comments about Olivier Giroud have put him in hot water, as he claims we need 4 more signings to win the league. But who could this be? I’ll take a look at a signing we could make in each position:
1) Raphael Varane (Centre-Back)
Raphael Varane has been rated so highly by ex-managers such as Jose Mourinho, who preferred the youngster over the Portuguese first team player Pepe. As of recent performances such as against Atletico Madrid, Varne has been given the chance of a defensive start, as Sergio Ramos has been pushed further up the pitch with their injury list mounting. In January, reports came out suggesting that an upset Varane with ‘little game time’ wanted to leave, and that a £20million offer could be enough to lure the talent away. In 2014, he signed a 6 year deal to stay in Madrid, but was this to bulk his price up? Or maybe to keep him? We shall see in the Summer.
