Hector Bellerin Responds To Reports Suggesting He’ll Move To Barcelona

We’re just over a week into the transfer window and already so much has happened at Arsenal regarding incoming targets and outgoing flops.

And the latest Gunners star to get wrapped up in the reports is Hector Bellerin, who’s been tipped to head back to his former club, Barcelona.

The 22-year-old has been talking to Spanish media recently stating he misses his family life back in Catalunya, which led to a series of rumours circling the press.

It didn’t take long for the links to grow stronger and before you know it, many Arsenal fans took to Twitter to start plotting a back-up plan if the defender left.

But having signed a six-year contract in November and repeatedly stating he was happy at the club, the media attempted to make a big deal out of nothing.

And Bellerin himself has come out to publicly reveal he will not be re-joining Barcelona this summer in a very simple, yet effective tweet:

Let’s just say that’s one departure we can all stop worrying about and now that the matter has been put to bed we can focus on some genuine departures.

David Ospina is set to complete a £3m move to Fenerbache next week, whilst several clubs are after Kieran Gibbs, a player Arsenal value at £15m.

Yaya Sanogo has already confirmed he’ll be leaving at the end of the month and reports linking Lucas Perez with a move away are growing stronger.
