Sanchez tweeted the picture whilst on international duty with Vidal and there’s no doubt that the Juventus man would be a perfect fit for Arsenal. The pair appear to be close friends.
It probably means nothing, but there is no doubt that Lukas Podolski and Per Mertesacker had an influence in convincing Mesut Ozil to come to the Emirates. Vidal seems settled at Juventus, but if he ever considers leaving, perhaps Alexis could help sway his decision on his next destination?
Man Utd have been heavily linked with the Chilean midfielder over the last few years, but are yet to make an official move for him. With Ander Herrera and Daley Blind now on their books, their need for Vidal may well have dropped somewhat.
He is not the holding midfielder that many Arsenal fans are crying out for, but he does have the ability to play in a deep midfield role, and his energy would be a great addition to our midfield. He could work in a double pivot alongside Jack Wilshere or Aaron Ramsey, but there are probably more sensible ways to spend the £40million he would cost.
