Danger Men! United’s 3 Biggest Threats

Fresh from the 2-1 victory over QPR in mid-week, Arsenal are prepared to travel up the motorway and experience a Manchester United side who have left many of us scratching our heads.

United have found themselves up and down throughout the season, and have been fortunate to grind out some results in the Premier League, as they breath down the neck of this Arsenal side whilst sitting in fourth place. But for all of their criticism, the Red Devils can boast an impressive form at Old Trafford, picking up five wins in their last six home games.

And although their stadium may not feel like such a fortress anymore, there is a stable squad set up by Louis Van Gaal with the sole objective to strike fear back into their opponents.

We’ve taken a look at the three players who pose the biggest threat on Monday night, and inevitably stop the Gunners from reserving their seats at Wembley.

Undoubtedly the man who has saved United’s season so far, after pulling off some top class performances to keep Van Gaal’s side in too many games to mention.

The Spaniard has nine clean sheets in the Premier League so far, and also boasts an impressive claim success rate of 92% when collecting deadly crosses, something that in-form striker Olivier Giroud won’t be too happy to see.

What makes De Gea so special is the ability to get low and throw his body around whilst protecting his goal, and if the likes of Sanchez and Cazorla are going to fire anything passed this man then they’re going to need to pull off something special.

We all know what the goalkeeper is capable of, and it won’t be long until Arsenal run out of ideas to beat him. What he lacks however is a supporting cast, and has never had a back line that is consistent to each other. The suspension of Jonny Evans will undoubtedly make yet another change at the back, and when you play around with that defence too much, the goalkeeper begins to lose his establishment.
