Confirmed: Where Jack Wilshere Will Be Playing Football Next Year

He was once earmarked as the future Mr. Arsenal, but since his emergence into the first team we haven’t had a chance to see too much of Jack Wilshere.

A hugely promising career has been plagued by long-term injuries, which haven’t been helped by setbacks after attempting to return earlier than the original diagnosis.

However, this season things are starting to turn around for the 24-year-old and after making the loan move to Bournemouth in the summer, Wilshere is looking more like Wilshere!

Not only has the switch allowed him to get a consistent run of games, the Englishman has reclaimed his place in the national side under new boss Gareth Southgate.

But following the news that Santi Cazorla will be out of action for up to three months, talk has soon turned to Wenger activating the chance to bring Wilshere back in January.

The newspapers have been quick to suggest Wenger would rather take back his creative midfielder than go out into a limited transfer market in search of a ‘new Cazorla’.

However, it looks as if the Cherries boss, Eddie Howe, isn’t a fan of what he’s been reading on the back pages and has quickly turned down any chance of Wilshere playing in an Arsenal shirt this season.

Whilst talking to the Daily Echo, the Bournemouth manager confirmed the news that Arsenal fans won’t be too pleased with:

Jack’s with us for the rest of the season. There is no recall clause, he’s with us for the season.

So it looks as if the Gunners are going to have to find an internal alternative to the creative flair that Santi Cazorla gives to keep this team ticking over in the important games.

Granit Xhaka is starting to get comfortable with that role but until Wenger sticks with a regular CDM duo in the Premier League we won’t be able to build around them.
