Attacking Midfielder Set For Loan Spell In Order To Adapt To Life At Arsenal

Arsenal’s policy when it comes to loaning out players is often one praised by many pundits, with the likes of Jack Wilshere and Hector Bellerin fine examples.

However, for Dan Crowley things haven’t gone too swimmingly when it comes to spending the season away from the Gunners, and recent events have put his future as a Gunner in doubt.

Despite looking like one of Oxford’s key players since his loan spell began at the start of the season, his behaviour away from the pitch has forced the League One club to terminate his contract.

Oxford didn’t elaborate too much on the reasons, but coach Michael Appleton suggested it was down to his inability to act professional amongst his peers.

But in the hopes of gaining regular first team football, Arsene Wenger hasn’t hung around on getting the highly rated midfielder back out of London and in to a decent side.

According to a latest report from Arsenal youth expert, Jeorge Bird, the 19-year-old will head to Dutch side Go Ahead Eagles on a trial period with view to a season’s loan.

The Eredivisie side are currently sitting at the bottom of the table and a player of Crowley’s quality will slot straight into the starting XI as he attempts to toughen up in senior football.

Crowley was once likened to Jack Wilshere, and it appears as though he needs a few life lessons if he’s going to become an Arsenal regular for years to come.

Until he starts to appreciate professionalism in the game, he doesn’t stand a chance under Wenger, because as we all know it’s more than just what you can offer on the pitch.
