The Daily Mail states that Arsene Wenger remains interested in the duo from the French champions and is keen to do business, with the manager in the French capital today for TV obligations with the French media.

However, PSG are stated to be unhappy to do business due to the fact that the French transfer window closed at 11pm BST last night; which means that the side can sell players but will not be able to sign any replacements.

Cavani is seen as a key-player and Rabiot, who was sent-off in the opening day of the Ligue 1 season, is a highly-rated prospect who excelled in PSG’s domestic double winning campaign last term.

Arsenal were stated yesterday to also have interest in Marco Verratti, another unlikely deal, whilst the Gunners aren’t keen on bringing Ezequiel Lavezzi to North London- despite suggestions that the Argentine will be allowed to leave today.

So, it appears Arsenal still want business but at the moment it’s looking very bleak.
