These days we get more information on transfers from what the players do rather than the clubs issuing any updates.

And that couldn’t be more true to the latest Gunners target Henry Onyekuru, who has lit up YouTube with Arsenal fans wondering who the heck he is.

But after a couple of weeks of research, the 19-year-old from Belgian side KAS Eupen looks like a typical signing for Arsene Wenger to make in the summer.

Looks great in his highlights clips, could possibly be the next big thing and will cost us next to nothing! Great right? Well, we’ve seen it so many times before with the likes of Yaya Sanogo!

Whether we like it or not though, it seems the Nigerian youngster has confirmed Arsene Wenger’s interest after telling the media about his love for the Gunners.

As a life-long Arsenal fan, Onyekuru may have just let the cat out of the bag despite David Ornstein stating last week that Arsenal weren’t in for the striker.

Anyway, this story is going back and forwards so check out the comments below (transcribed by The Express) and make up your own conclusion:

It’s a good feeling for a club like Arsenal to make a bid for me, this is due to my hard work in training and in games.

I am waiting and working towards it and we’ll see how it goes after the (Nigeria) qualifiers.

I remember saying if I had to move to the Premier League I want to be like Thierry Henry, so it’s likely to come true and I’m looking towards it at the moment.

Away from the details, Onyekuru does boast a pretty good record for his age and at £6.8million it could be a cheap risk to take to shake up Arsenal’s attack.

With Lucas Perez, Joel Campbell and Kieran Gibbs all set to be axed this summer we need some new life in this squad, and Onyekuru could be the start of that.
