Arsenal Preparing To Send Striker Out On Loan As First-Team Call-Up Edges Closer

These days, your chances to get a regular spot in the Arsenal centre forward position are incredibly rare, but one youngster is determined to get his shot.

Stephy Mavididi is the latest Gunner to be linked with a loan move away from the club as a chance to get a feel for football at a more senior level.

ESPN FC have been told by sources very close to Mavididi that the striker is being scouted by a whole host of clubs in England and across Europe.

The 18-year-old has advanced into a senior role inside the Arsenal academy despite being one of the younger players, and that has turned the head of Arsene Wenger.

With Yaya Sanogo and Chuba Akpom two forward options that are lower down the pecking order, Mavididi can now join that group of players in search of a first team breakthrough next season.

Not only is he a promising English talent, Mavididi has been playing above his age category for a number of years now, and his impressive campaign saw him get promoted to the U23’s.

Bagging 17 goals last season put Mavididi as Arsenal Academy’s top goalscorer, and has continued to find the net during 2016/17, although he’s yet to make a senior appearance.

Plenty of Championship and League One clubs are reportedly knocking at the door for his services, and a move away could fast-forward his chances of picking up a shot in the Premier League.

From what I’ve seen whilst watching U23 games, Mavididi is a really exciting and powerful striker who isn’t afraid to try new things whilst battling his way through the defence.

I hope the reports are true, because he’s a great player who deserves to get more recognition.
