Barcelona are aiming to sign Arsenal’s 17-year-old midfielder Chris Willock, as the Catalan side aim to steal one of Arsenal’s prized assets. The Arsenal U18 midfielder is highly-rated amongst the youth squad and Barcelona want to bring him to their prestigious La Masia complex.

Arsenal, of course, have raided Barcelona’s youth set-up in the past for current first-team star Hector Bellerin, as well as former midfielders Cesc Fabregas and Fran Merida. The Catalans aims to return the favour aren’t surprising but Arsenal will hold strong.

Turkish media state that Joel Campbell is closing in on an Arsenal exit, the latest in his adventure’s across Europe, but this time a permanent £8m deal is on the cards, with Fenerbache expected to stump-up. The Costa Rican has spent the second-half of the year on-loan with Villarreal.

Campbell has previously excelled with loans across Europe, including Olympiacos, but failed to make the grade in the first-half of the season and has falling down the pecking order- with the likes of Danny Welbeck, Theo Walcott, Alexis Sanchez and Serge Gnabry ahead of him.

Arsenal’s interest in Raheem Sterling has been well documented and reports suggest Liverpool are happy to agree a deal- if they get Theo Walcott and Kieran Gibbs in return. What are they smoking at Anfield? Seriously, let’s not even explore this possibility.

Walcott has excelled on his return from injury and Gibbs has had an inconsistent season but is still touted for success in North London. Arsenal are unlikely to want to trade players with Liverpool and are more likely to offer a lump cash-sum.
