Reports stated this week indicate that Arsene Wenger is desperate to be in the running for Juventus ace Paul Pogba- and that his interest is genuine.
Pogba, who is attracting a wealth of interest across the continent, is reported to have handed in a transfer request at Juventus which would allow him to seal a £70m exit.
Whilst moneybags Manchester City and Chelsea fight for his signature, Wenger has high aspirations of beating his Premier League rivals to the signature of the young Frenchman, as reported by Spanish journalist Kike Marin.
Marin has reported deals regarding Arsenal in the past and mentions that the price may unsurprisingly be a stumbling block for the Gunners, due to their competitors and Financial Fair Play regulations.
However for Arsenal fans, seeing Wenger genuinely interested in such a high-market target is a huge boost heading into the summer- despite the fact that a transfer is still unlikely, it shows what Wenger is hoping to achieve.
