It’s reported the 20-year-old is in the final stages of signing a permanent deal with the club and is expected to be announced as an Arsenal player by Thursday.

Whilst this won’t be an addition to the first team, the Hednesford Town man can add something to the U23 side that they’ve been missing for the entirety of their season.

The Gunners youth team have been forced to improvise in defence for the majority of their campaign, which has left them sitting in mid-table of Premier League 2.

So who is Cohen Bramall? Well, he’s played left-back for the majority of his career and is lighting fast when getting down the left wing having proved in the below YouTube video.

Bramall is a confident young lad who isn’t afraid to take on the goalkeeper when given half the chance, and his ability to get forward with confidence is what makes him an Arsenal natural.

He looks as if he needs some more work on strength and conditioning when it comes to defending, but you can already see similarities with Kieran Gibbs and Ashley Cole.

Bramall’s short trial at London Colney also allowed him to join in with first-team training so Wenger will have seen a glimpse of what the youngster has to offer.

Nacho Monreal is heading towards the end of his peak years and with Gibbs coming through as the back-up defender, maybe it’s time to start taking the future of our left-back’s seriously.
