We spent 128 days at the top of the Barclays Premier League this season and ultimately, we finished seven points from the top of the table. Compare that to last season, when we were sixteen points adrift of the league winners, and it is clear that there has been some improvement.
Couple that with an FA Cup win and we have a great platform to start pushing for the league title again. Here are five reasons why we will be title contenders next season:
 1. Confidence
Every football player hinges on confidence in order to perform to his very best. We have taken a few beatings this season, but in the end, we’ve finished a stones throw from the top of the table. If we stop conceding silly points, such as those against Aston Villa and Swansea, we will set ourselves up to have a fantastic season next term. Of course, heavy defeats against our immediate rivals must be rectified, and a cup win will fuel the hunger for us to go on and do that.
