3 Arsenal Outgoings You Might Have Missed During The Transfer Window

Things didn’t exactly get off to the best of starts in Arsenal’s summer transfer window, as we were made to wave goodbye to three club veterans.

Thomas Rosicky, Mathieu Flamini and former captain Mikel Arteta have racked up 22 years with the Gunners, a stunning statisitic that shows how much they gave us.

But as one thing comes to an end, another was just starting and it didn’t take long for Wenger to wrap up the £33million capture of Granit Xhaka, a player who’s proven his price tag.

Whilst we were all expecting big names at the club, Arsenal have spent just as much time sorting out their departures and there’s been plenty of names we’ll be without this season.

Altogether, the club have loaned 12 players from either the first team or their academy, a sign that there is hopefully much more to come from them if they can pick up experience.

1 – Glen Kamara to Colchester United

Unsurprisingly this one went under the radar in the late hours of deadline day, but the League Two side have got themselves a promising signing.

He’ll move to The U’s until January with an option to extend the loan spell should he be a success between now and the festive period.

It’s been a while since we saw Kamara feature for the academy after heading out on loan to Southend United during the second half of last season.

The 20-year-old is known for his capabilities in any one of the central midfield areas, and his eye for a pass is what will excited Colchester fans.

Kamara has made just one senior apperance for Arsenal during his time, and that came last season during Arsenal’s trip to Sheffield Wednesday in the Capital One Cup.
