3 – Joel Campbell to Real Betis
Joel Campbell is unlikely to be included in Arsenal’s senior squad this season but his injury may prevent him from making a permanent move away from the club. The Costa Rican says he is reluctant to go on a sixth loan spell from Arsenal and would prefer a permanent move away if he does leave. Arsenal will be keen to get the player off of their wage bill as it may enable them to make a new signing on deadline day. Campbell is just one of the many ‘deadwood’ players that could be set to move on deadline day, but will anyone take a risk on him with his current injury status? It looks as if Real Betis will be the team to get hold of Campbell on a temporary basis.
