Arsenal face Reading on Tuesday night in the League Cup and they will look to reach the quarter finals of the competition, but Arsene Wenger will be naming a much changed side. Here’s three players to look out for on the night.
1 – Carl Jenkinson
He’s been on loan and out injured, but Jenkinson is now back at Arsenal. The right back has questionable quality, but if he can prove himself in games like these then Arsenal will have a proper back up for Hector Bellerin. Over the course of the full season, the club cannot afford to have just one good right back. We’ve had him as a back up right back before but the fans have in general, not been satisfied. All eyes will be on whether Jenkinson lasts the 90 minutes and his physical performance during his time on the pitch. We know he isn’t the best player technically, but his strengths like in his workrate, pace and battling attributes – it will be interesting to see if he has lost any of those during his long spell on the sidelines.
