The Gunners have suffered a difficult start to life in the 2015/16 season, after dropping five points at the Emirates Stadium from their three opening fixtures.

And although the form has looked slightly better away from home, there will be nothing too easy about a trip to St. James’ Park on Saturday afternoon.

Steve McClaren’s side may have only picked up two points so far, but after securing a hard-fought draw at Manchester United and a mid-week thrashing of Northampton Town, confidence is high.

The former England manager has spent plenty of money to bring fresh talent to the Toon, and after securing a desired starting eleven, those new players are beginning to gel.

Fresh Arsenal has taken a look at the three Newcastle players who pose the biggest threat to Arsenal not bringing all three points back to North London this weekend.

1 – Georginio Wijnaldum

Brand new to life in the Premier League, the Dutchman is one of the hottest topics in the Newcastle squad this season.

Playing as an attacking midfielder, the 24-year-old has been the pivot point in his sides attacking outlet so far, having already picked up three out of three starts in the Premier League.

Wijnaldum scored the second of Newcastle’s goals during their impressive 2-2 draw against Southampton on the opening day of the season.

The Netherlands international has already received a ratings of 7.28 and 7.1 against the likes of the Saints and Manchester United so far, so playing against the top clubs doesn’t faze the midfielder.

Coquelin will have his work cut out to take care of him.

Wijnaldum will like to take advantage of Newcastle’s goal kicks, and we’ll be used to seeing him take the ball down and have players feeding off the centre attacking position.
