10 Top Moments From The 2014/15 Season

After winning the FA Cup for a record 12th time this weekend, it may seem as if Arsenal fans are already turning their attention to the targets for next year.

However, in a season that involved just as much action off of the pitch as well as on it, Fresh Arsenal wanted to take a pause and assess the last ten months.

The Gunners produced a marvellous run of form in 2015, and will now head into pre-season with two trophies and an automatic Champions League place in the bag.

And yet again under the management of Arsene Wenger, we were spoilt for choice when picking up on some of the best moments under his reign.

It was one of the moments I’m not sure even he could believe, as Danny Welbeck sent his former side crashing out of the FA Cup, and the Gunners into an FA Cup semi-final.

The arrival of Louis Van Gaal caused Welbeck to be immediately out of contention for a starting place, with the likes of Angel di Maria and Ander Herrera coming in to replace the Englishman.

At 1-1 the game seemed to be very tight, and concerns were raised as to whether Wenger had made the right decision in dropping the in-form Olivier Giroud, after Welbeck failed to get a hold of his final touch.

But it was the Manchester United boss who was left red-faced as Welbeck latched onto a poor back pass from Chris Smalling and after rounding David de Gea, could stroke home one of the easiest goals he’ll ever score.

Arsene Wenger stated before the game that Welbeck was itching to play this one, and the Englishman didn’t disappoint when making his return to Old Trafford.
